The Little ATF Programmer is a simple, low-cost programmer for Atmel (Microchip) ATF1502, ATF1504 and ATF1508 CPLDs.
- Check, erase and program ATF150x CPLDs
- Supports PLCC44 and PLCC84 packages
- Can erase and reprogram JTAG-locked CPLDs
- Software supports macOS, Linux and Windows
- Supports standard JEDEC, SVF and XSVF vector files
- USB-C connection
This product is supplied with both PLCC sockets (only 44-pin shown) and the power jumper ready for assembly.
USB cable and additional headers not included.
Note: This product is not a generic JTAG programmer, and is designed specifically for ATF150x family CPLDs. ICSP programming via JTAG breakouts supports a limited subset of functionality and devices. JTAG chain programming not supported.

Been wanting to play with the 5V ATF150x CPLD for a while, but figuring out how to program - so... mysterious. Until I found this product.
Brilliant and very easy to use Easy to assemble - and the associated software utility also simple, easy and just works.
I plugged in the device and windows immediately recognized the new device and configured it automatically. That alone is such a huge win.
Then I followed the install directions in the readme doc and executed the 'pip install little-atf-programmer' command. It installed in under 30 seconds.
I entered my project directory and executed 'atfu program -f [project].jed' and it just simply works.
From opening the box, soldering the socket, installing the tools, and programming my ATF1502, it took 5 minutes to have a working CPLD for my project.
10 out of 10.
Works as advertised. Got my fist CPLD programmed after about 1hr
